BYC conducts LKB with IP youth in Maguindanao

Bangsamoro Youth Commission continued the Lingkod Kabataang Bangsamoro Wave 2 program on March 13, 2021 at Barangay Itaw, South Upi, Maguindanao. Approximately 200 youth participants coming from 111 households who still stayed in evacuation center caused by the recent conflict, received relief packs from the Commission’s humanitarian initiative program— Lingkod Kabataang Bangsamoro. Along this, the MSU-Maguindanao, the commission’s partner in the activity conducted psychosocial intervention assesment for the displaced youth– an avenue giving them voice to open up their sentiments and struggles caused by the conflict. In making the program possible, the Commission partnered various organizations and offices including the Provincial Government of Maguindanao, LGU South Upi, Cotabato Rotary Club, 57 Infantry Battalion and Alliance of Magnanimous Youth Leaders.The program ended with the Commissioner’s message Nasserudin Dunding emphasizing the commitment of the Bangsamoro Government to provide assistance to the needy and mostly to vulnerable sectors and conflict affected areas no matter where and how far will it be.
