Approximately one hundred seventy (170) ramadhan items of relief goods were distributed to the displaced youth and children along their families due to the recurring armed-conflict in some areas of SPMS Box.
Additionally, estimating a hundred twenty (150) items of dignity kits— a comprehensive package of medical supplies were provided through the help of the MSU. Also, one hundred twenty (120) items were also provided by UNFPA. The distribution held at Datu Saudi Ampatuan gymnasium was also incorporated with psychosocial assessment— easing the trauma amongst the IDP youth and children by the MSU-Magauindanao through the assistance of the university’s officials and employees.
Meanwhile, the municipal mayor Hon. Idris Sindatok, Al-Hadj expressed his full support in planning and implementing Initiatives mainly providing lasting solutions leading to ameliorate the caused trauma amongst displaced victims.
Moreover, the Chairperson MP Marjanie S. Mimbantas Macasalong PhD share his personal experiences including how saddening the Marawi Conflict was. As he stressed, the Commission is committed to offer whatever help in adherence to the office’s mandate as this happenings are inevitable and always been a part of people’s lives.
The distribution led by Chair Macasalong and assisted by Maguindanao Commissioner Nass Dunding enlightened recipients as this was a part of commemorating the BYC week. Also graced the activity was the Provincial Youth Development Officer Datu Harris Samal. Along this, the program was made possible through the assistance of SPMS Box United Youth Leaders, MSU Maguindanao, Rotary Club-Cotabato and DSA Local Government Unit.
