Youth leaders of Datu Odin Sinsuat Maguindanao participated the Continuing Training on Local Youth Development Council Functionality Cum Local Youth Development Planning on May 19, 2021 at D.O.S Municipal Hall, Maguindanao, BARMM.
Commencing the activity, D.O.S Municipal Administrator Datu Israel U. Sinsuat expressed his gratitude and full support for the training emphasizing it as an avenue to capacitate and enable the youth to discover themselves and reach their potentials in becoming the succeeding leaders of their respective community.
Also, in the presence of BCAD Chief Cecilia T. Pelobillo together Anisa M. Abdulkarim – MLGOO, Datu Odin Sinsuat who also both extended their message of appreciation for the said initiative. And Kashmir Uy, ESKEY Regional Focal Person who provided rationale of the activity.
The Commission through Planning Officer Datu Raid Salik discussed the concept of Decentralization and its types. Also, The tiers of Government specifying the the local autonomy and shed light on the Local Government Code of 1991.
The discussion ended on stressing the essence of adherence to Moral Governance as a foundation of every public servant as stated in Article 170 of the Bangsamoro Civil Service Code.
In relation to the activity, Commissioner Nass Dunding encouraged the youth champions to deeply immerse themselves to various activities that aim to mold their minds towards becoming future leaders.
“It is a shared responsibility to govern our people, and to carefully address the concerns in our community. This training aims to empower the capabilities of youth, Thus, we should mold ourselves to be a competent leader in order to get prepared for the greater roles that will come in the near future,” said Maguindanao Commissioner Nass.
The Commission is always open and ready to serve its constituents despite the faced-challenges, and prepares programs for youth across different municipalities in the BARMM region.
