The Commission under the guidance of its Chair MP Marjanie S.M. Mimbantas having its Provincial Office in Tawi-Tawi through Commissioner Pratima Sabal-Samsaraji in collaboration with the MILG-Tawi-Tawi, the First SK Mandatory Training was conducted which held at the Mayor’s Office, Municipal Building, Hadji Bidin Poblacion, Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi.

The training participated by eight (8)ย Local Youth Development Council members and eleven (11) SK Officials. It covered the following topics: Decentralization and Governance, SK History and Salient Features, Planning and Budgetary, Meetings and Resolution, and Code of Conduct.

After each session, participants took part in mind mapping activity as an assessment purposely to equip and capacitate them of their functions and mandate as SK Officials and local youth development council members in the said municipality.

Moreover, members of the Commission were among the keynote speakers, Mr. Geh Lipae, Youth Development Officer, BYC Tawi-Tawi discussed the Planning and Budgetary whereas, Nurhima Hajim, Executive Assistant of Tawi-Tawi Commissioner talked about Meetings and Resolution.

The said training is also through the efforts of The Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) of Sibutu in person of Mr. Misha-Al P. Abidin through the Local Government Unit, Sibutu Municipality, Tawi-Tawi headed by Mayor Alshefa J. Pajiji.

The training is in compliance to R.A. No. 10742 otherwise known as The Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.
