The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) Lanao del Sur and Marawi City and the Technical Education and Skills Development- Lanao, a directorate of the Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE-TESD), has signed on Friday, October 22, an agreement pursuant to the objective of promoting the welfare of the youth through development of technical skills.
BYC Chairperson MP Marjanie S. Macasalong and MBHTE-TESD Lanao Provincial Coordinator Aleada Nameerah Mangata- Noor signed the agreement at the Multi-Purpose Complex, Brgy. Ditsa-an Proper, Lanao del Sur.
The agreement defines the responsibilities of each parties in providing scholarship opportunity for the youth including the discretion to determine 100 qualified beneficiaries in the first batch of scholars; screening of applications based on the criteria set by TESD Lanao; and both parties to provide necessary assistance in the events and programs they are partner with.
The said Memorandum of Understanding was the result of the previous discussion of the commission between TESD- Lanao in July 2020. (BYC Public Relations Section)
