BYC validates its accredited youth org’s initiatives

The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) – Maguindanao, with Cotabato City and Special Geographic Areas of North Cotabato visited on Friday, Nov. 5, one of the initiatives of its duly accredited youth organization in Tamontaka, Cotabato City.

The visit, which was headed by BYC-MagCotSGA Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding, was to validate the existence and operations of Action of Bangsamoro Youth and Development Society (ABYADS), a newly BYC-accredited youth organization.

ABYADS officers and volunteers are conducting a Madrasah education initiative where almost 200 murits are being taught Arabic language and Qur’ān reading. ABYADS’ initiatives also include the establishment of 2 small, wooden buildings for the said purpose.

Ustadh Sam Pinto, ABYADS President, said the initiatives are not only limited to teaching Arabic language, but also aim to educate the youth of becoming the next-generation principled Bangsamoro leaders.

BYC has started paying both coordinated and surprise visits to its around 200 accredited youth organizations to validate their existence and to prepare them for their application for higher level of accreditation. (BYC PR Section)
