BYC, partner youth accredited orgs conduct Sindaw Ramadhan 2022

COTABATO CITY—Several students of Markadz Abdulaziz participated an Islamic Symposium dubbed Sindaw Ramadhan, conducted by the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) in collaboration with the Guild of Ascension of the Bangsamoro by Actuating the Youth (GABAY) Inc., on Friday, April 9, at Barangay Kalangan II, Cotabato City.

Sheikh Saiful Islam Gayak, in his topic — Mga sandaling kasama ay Qur’an  — highlighted the significance of reading the Qur’an — that the one who frequently reads and acts upon the verses is believed to be the true bearers of the book, and that his status will be elevated in the hereafter.

Moreover, he encouraged the participants to seek more knowledge particularly learning the Arabic language as it enables the reader to enjoy his journey in reading the book— providing him deeper understanding in his own religion.

Sheikh Abdul Hamid Balabadan, during his discussion — Ang Qur’an at ang pamilya nito — further expounded the merits of reading the book as it serves as an intercessor on the day of resurrection.

Further, he said, as indicated in the narrations and practices of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad Peace and Blessings be upon him, that verily the Almighty has chosen people whom He considered as His family— they are the people who always give time to study the Qur’an.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Nasserudin D. Dunding, in his remarks, reminded the students to remain focused with their studies as they will be the scholars that the Bangsamoro community will have in the preceding generation.

Arham Kamensa, Secretary General, GABAY Inc., extended the organization’s commitment to the BYC in providing religious empowerment to the Bangsamoro youth.

The series of activity will also be conducted by BYC along with partner organizations to some identified areas of the region. (BYC PR Unit)
