COTABATO CITY (August 9, 2022)—The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) and the Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) conducted a series of site visitations to the projects of the Bangsamoro Youth Leaders Program – Leadership Communities (BYLP-LeadCom) fellows from Aug. 1 until 10 across the Bangsamoro region as part of their mentoring process.
Through the visits, the BYLP-LeadCom core team from BYC and AFI validated the project implementations of the fellows, providing them guidance and recommendations to further develop their projects.
The project site visitations form part of the components of the BYLP-LeadCom, a dynamic year-long fellowship program of AFI , in partnership with BYC, Eisenhower Fellowships, and Australian Aid.
In November 2021, the fellows were granted ₱50,000 seed funds for their projects. While in March 2022, they paid a special courtesy visit to several ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government to showcase their projects in which the latter can provide support.
The BYLP-LeadCom aims to empower young leaders from the Bangsamoro Region with an on-site immersion for them to undertake relevant programs that transform communities in the areas of health, education, livelihood, and peace development. (BYC PR Unit/KAA)
