COTABATO CITY (September 14, 2022) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) Tawi-Tawi conducted tree planting activity dubbed Tanim Kabataan para sa Kabataan on September 11, 2022 at Sitio Kubang, Mandulan, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The activity bears the theme: “Magtanom Kitam banan Kaanakan para ma Kahapan Kawman tam”, which aims to promote youth participation on environmental conservation, community immersion and values formation among the youth.
During the orientation, MENRE Officer Alcadra Sabal emphasized that the youth of today are more engaged on environmental conservation than they were before. He also said that the likes of these activities are beneficial for the future generation.
The said activity was participated by the officials and volunteers from Marine Battalion Landing Team-12 (MBLT-12), Philippine Coast Guard Central Tawi-Tawi, Tawi-Tawi Maritime PSOU 1, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MENRE), Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) MSU Tawi-Tawi, students of MSU Tawi-Tawi, and youth organizations accredited by the Commission.
