BYC, Balete Conservancy conduct Brief Orientation on Endangered Birds

COTABATO CITY (November 23, 2022)– The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) through the Office of Tawi-Tawi Commissioner Pratima Sabal-Samsaraji conducted brief orientation on endangered birds in the Philippines native in Tawi-Tawi on November 15, 2022 at Fisheries Building of, MSU Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography.

During the discussion, one of the endangered birds mentioned is the Tawi-Tawi Brown Dove that is recognized by its rust-colored belly and a purplish gloss-brown behind its neck.
This can only be found on two small islands in southern-most Philippines: Tawi-Tawi and Sanga-Sanga.

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE), along with the Philippine National Police distributed posters and infographics to the students of MSU Tawi-Tawi. (BYC PR Unit/AAA)
