The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) attended the Bangsamoro Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Summit 2023 yesterday, January 18, at Ebrahim Hall, Em Manor Hotel, Cotabato City.
The three-day summit, which is being conducted by the Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS), Inc. convened different CSOs in the Bangsamoro region.
With a theme, “Strengthening Social Cohesion and solidarity in support to the Bangsamoro and beyond,” the summit aims to promote convergence among CSOs to forge durable solutions that will result in a smooth transition to normalization and sustainable peace and development in the Bangsamoro region.
BYC Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding, representing Chairperson Marjanie Mimbantas Macasalong, expressed the Commission’s support for the initiative noting the importance of collaborative conservations in producing meaningful programs and policies.
“Conversations like this are as important in the way we advocate for our certain goals, especially in the changes that we wanted to experience and envision for our region,” Commissioner Dunding said.
The BYC as the primary policy-making and coordinating body of the Bangsamoro government in all matters affecting the youth continues to maintain its strong partnership with development partners and relevant stakeholders. (BYC PR Unit/KAA)
