Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), in his message during an Islamic Convention yesterday, Feb. 12, enjoined the Bangsamoro youth populace to abstain from activities that promote bid’ah or religious misguidance, and disunification and fitnah or temptation.
He added that the success of the Bangsamoro Struggle was achieved because of the strong Islamic faith and brotherhood of the Bangsamoro leaders, which the Government of the Day is committed to instilling among the youth.
The Islamic Convention, dubbed ‘Ilm lil Qalb: Knowledge for the Heart, was conducted by the Moro International Student Association (MISA) at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Dunding expressed the “full support” of the Commission for activities that strengthen the spirituality and patriotism of the young people.
“It is the Bangsamoro government’s goal to multiply activities like this that instill upright teachings to the young generation,” he added.
Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 10, otherwise known as the Youth Commission of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Act of 2020, states that the Bangsamoro Government appreciates the distinctive role of religion, faith, or one’s traditional belief system in the holistic development of the youth in Bangsamoro.
