“We encourage our youth officials to advance your accreditation as it is also a primary requirement in applying for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award,” she added.

Among the privileges that youth organizations can acquire include being prioritized in the selection of representatives for youth consultations, BYC-initiated activities, national and international youth exchange programs, and other avenues which may provide further exposure to the organization.

The accredited organizations can be tapped by BYC as partners, facilitators, or resource persons in the crafting, implementation and evaluation of youth development programs, projects and activities, among others.

Currently, there are more than 500 youth organizations accredited by BYC. It is expected to reopen this year. (BYC PR Unit/AAA)
