TWG for BAP-YPS, BYVP to finalize documents for two projects

COTABATO CITY (May 24, 2023)– The Bangsamoro Youth Commission in partnership with the United Nations and Development Program, has recently convened its Technical Working Groups for the Bangsamoro Action Plan on Youth Peace and Security (BAP-YPS) and Bangsamoro Youth Volunteer Program (BYVP) during 4th workshop meeting on May 19–21, 2023, in Davao City.

The said meeting aimed at discussing the enhancement of the working documents of the BYVP and BAP-YPS as well as the ways forward for the two projects.

Among the key discussions were the presentation of the results of the BAP-YPS pilot survey, BYVP program design, BYVP training of trainers, next steps on BAP-YPS and BYVP, and BYVP TOT.

The TWG members provided insights and recommendations on the results of the BAP-YPS pilot survey that was disseminated to several youth across the BARMM region in order to place emphasis on some parts of the drafted documents that need attention and revision.

BYC Youth Development Officer Settie Ivy Ampatuan urged the TWG members to finish soon as possible the working documents of the BAP-YPS and BYVP.

“Kailangan natin maging productive kasi, ini-expect natin lahat na matapos na siya. Ibig sabihin kailangan nating i-deliver agad at matapos ang document,” she emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Technical Working Group is set to have follow up meetings for the finalization of the said documents.

The BAP-YPS is set to launch in BARMM by the end of June this year. (PR Unit/SAMN).
