June 20-22, 2023

Audhu billahi minashaytan nir rajim. Bismillahi rahmanir raheem.
Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu!

Today marks the beginning of a significant institutional building effort for the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), as we embark on formulating our very own Strategic Performance Management System or SPMS policy.

The SPMS holds immense importance for our organization, as it serves as a mechanism to link employee performance with organizational performance. By doing so, it enhances the performance orientation of our compensation system, ensuring that each of us achieves the objectives set by BYC while enabling the organization to realize its strategic plans.

As we embark on this important journey of formulating our SPMS policy, I implore each and every one of you to embrace a spirit of cooperation and collaboration. This workshop presents a unique opportunity for us to collectively shape the future of our organization, and it is through our combined efforts that we can develop a robust and effective SPMS policy.

We are a team, united by our shared vision and commitment to the Bangsamoro youth. It is essential that we leverage our diverse experiences, perspectives, and expertise to create a policy that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our organization. This requires active participation, open dialogue, and a willingness to listen and learn from one another.

Let us work towards a common goal – to establish a Strategic Performance Management System that is both impactful and sustainable. Your insights, suggestions, and recommendations are invaluable in this process. I encourage you to engage in thoughtful discussions, challenge assumptions, and propose innovative ideas that can propel us towards excellence.

Remember, the success of our SPMS policy lies in our collective commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. As we collaborate, let us foster an environment of trust, respect, and constructive feedback. By embracing diversity and encouraging different perspectives, we can ensure that our policy considers a wide range of factors and remains inclusive.

I understand that this task may present challenges, and at times, differing opinions may arise. However, I urge you all to approach these challenges as opportunities for growth. Let us keep in mind that our ultimate objective is to develop a policy that sets the stage for individual and organizational success, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Throughout this workshop, I encourage you to actively engage with one another, seek clarification, and build upon each other’s ideas. Let us be open to new approaches and be willing to adapt as we learn and grow together. By pooling our collective wisdom and expertise, we can overcome any obstacles that come our way.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the organizers, facilitators, and participants who have contributed their time, energy, and expertise to make this workshop possible. Your commitment to the growth and success of BYC is truly commendable, and I am confident that together, we will achieve remarkable outcomes.

Once again, I extend my warmest welcome to each and every one of you. Let us make the most of this opportunity to drive positive change and chart a path towards excellence.

Wa billahi tawfeeq wal hidayah.
Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu!
