COTABATO CITY (March 1, 2024) – To further enhance its communication strategies, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission through its Public Relations Unit (PRU), held a one-day Orientation-Workshop on the BYC Strategic Communication Plan for BARMM ministries, offices, and agencies on February 28, 2024, in Cotabato City.
Rahib Musa, BYC’s public relations officer, provided insights into the BYC Strategic Communication Plan for the fiscal years 2023-2026 to the representatives of ministries, offices, and agencies of Bangsamoro Government aiming for them to understand its objectives and significance.
The plan contains a strategy where BYC will develop postings on youth projects, programs, and activities (PPAs) of several agencies within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
This initiative aims to establish an online bulletin of youth opportunities and programs, serving as a platform to showcase and promote various opportunities available to the youth across the region.
BYC Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding underscored the significance of this initiative as an avenue for youth to gain a deeper understanding of and benefit from the programs and opportunities provided by the BARMM government.
“As the BARMM MOAs continue to spearhead initiatives aimed at empowering the youth in the BARMM region, these comprehensive efforts underscore a commitment to promoting their well-being, engagement, and active involvement in the region’s development,” Dunding stated.
During the workshop, each of the MOAs had the opportunity to share their youth-centered programs, which are crucial for advancing and strengthening initiatives through communication for the Bangsamoro youth.
Meanwhile, Settie Ivy Ampatuan, BYC youth development officer, introduced the Commission and its mandate as the primary policy-making and coordinating body of the Bangsamoro Government to the participants. (BYC PR Unit/SAMN)
