IIC 2024 policy researches undergo final review

To ensure quality and relevant research outputs, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) conducted an in-house review of its research projects under its Ideation Impact Challenge (IIC) 2024 on Thursday, September 12, in Cotabato City.

Research proponents presented their project outputs before key BYC personnel, technical experts, and representatives of youth organizations.

BYC Youth Development Officer Settie Ivy Ampatuan stated that the session was intended to refine the research outputs by incorporating feedback from the review participants.

In April, BYC called for IIC policy research proposals that address gender and development (GAD) issues affecting Bangsamoro youth. In late May, three proposals were selected and awarded funding of Php200,000 each.

BYC Chairperson Marjanie Mimbantas Macasalong explained that these research projects aim to provide evidence-based recommendations for the formulation of gender-responsive policies in the region.

Additionally, BYC will hold a policy forum in December to present these policy recommendations to the relevant stakeholders. (BYC PR Unit/KAA)
