COTABATO CITY (Dec. 9, 2024) — In a bid to continuously carry out its mandate as a policy-making institution, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) conducted refresher lectures on Policy Advocacy and Lobbying for its employees on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, in Cotabato City.
This initiative aims to equip the Commission’s employees with essential knowledge and skills in effective policy-making, advocacy, and lobbying strategies.
BYC Human Resource and Management Officer Majalia P. Padate emphasized that the platform was designed to enhance the Commission’s capacity to advocate for the meaningful representation of Bangsamoro youth in policy-making while employing evidence-based approaches to strengthen their proposals.
The lecture focused on key aspects of policy, such as best practices in resolution drafting. Additionally, the sessions facilitated an exchange of ideas, providing participants with opportunities to raise questions and seek clarifications on the topic.
Meanwhile, BYC Commissioner representing Tawi-Tawi, Pratima Sabal-Samsaraji emphasized that the activity is not only an opportunity to learn but also a significant step toward strengthening the Commission’s role in advocating for youth and ensuring their voices are heard in policymaking.
