COTABATO CITY (Dec. 19, 2024) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) conducted on Thursday, Dec. 19, a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) for its employees to systematically identify gaps in skills, knowledge, and competencies. This initiative aims to enhance individual and organizational performance in alignment with the BYC’s mandate and strategic goals.
Majalia Padate, BYC’s Human Resource Management Officer, highlighted that the TNA serves as a foundation for crafting training programs tailored to address specific development needs while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives for maximum efficiency and return on investment.
Nairah Manongcarang, Chief of the Administrative and Finance Division, emphasized the significance of aligning employees’ skills with BYC’s mission. “Assessing training needs is pivotal in improving office performance and ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet organizational goals,” she stated.
The activity was facilitated by Hellie Sumatra Biruar, who underscored that the TNA not only addresses current and potential issues but also fosters opportunities for learning, growth, and development. “This assessment lays the groundwork for addressing challenges, avoiding recurring issues, and leveraging future opportunities,” Biruar explained.
A follow-up training program is set for 2025 to continuously support the learning and development needs of BYC employees, ensuring their growth aligns with the organization’s evolving objectives. (BYC PR Unit/RMM)
