BYC supplements aid to SPMS box IDP youth

As a result of an intermittent armed conflict from the areas of SPMS box, the Commission continued the distribution of relief operation to the displaced youth under its Lingkod Kabataang Bangsamoro Program estimating over 104 items, along this is the providing of psychosocial interventions for IDP children.

The distribution aimed to mitigate the trauma of the victims mainly the displaced youth and children from the municipalities of Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Datu Salibo, Mamasapano and Shariff Aguak. In addition, the initiative was organized by the SPMS box United Youth Leaders in the led by its President Norhamin Singh together with AMAD led by its president Nasser Watamama showing their full support in implementing the said program.

On the other hand, Commissioner Nass Dunding also bringing the message of the commission’s Chair MP Marjanie Macasalong inspired the youth to not lose hope despite the prevalence of recurring conflict.

“The reason why we are here is not merely with the purpose of bringing these items. Our presence here is a symbolism of our concern, we are here to offer whatever assistance we could provide, we are here to strengthen the essence of helping one another.”

Further, he stressed. “The Bangsamoro Government is with you. We in the region is doing our best to provide programs for the betterment of our people. And as for the youth, we really need your voice to further bring awareness of your concerns. We are hoping to witness more youth organizations that will bring light to their communities.”

The Commission’s humanitarian initiative is set comeback together the above mentioned youth organizations to bring more interventions ameliorating the caused fear amongst displaced youth and children.
