The Bangsamoro Youth Commssion (BYC) in Tawi-Tawi joined the celebration of the International Day of the Girl on Thursday, Oct. 14, in barangays of Tubig Tanah, Lapid-Lapid and Luuk Pandan.
BYC Tawi-Tawi Commissioner Pratima Samsaraji discussed the commission’s mandates to beneficiaries who were Sama dilaut women from different walks of life that include senior citizens, mothers, widows, pregnant and young married women.
The program, themed “Kalinga Alay sa Kababaihan”, was led by the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC), together with respective barangay local government, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), Ministry of Indigenous Peoples Affairs (MIPA), and the Marine Battalion Landing Team-12 (MBLT-12).
Some 60 women beneficiaries each received food packs, cash and relief assistance, hygiene kits, and one sack of 25 kilo rice. (BYC Public Relations Section)
