The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) – Basilan witnessed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a Community Learning Center (CLC) led by MP Fhaiz S. Alauddin along Project Engr. Abulkhair A. Yusop of Ministry of Public Works (MPW)-Basilan on Sunday, November 08 at Batu Mapote, Brgy. Baguindan, Tipo- Tipo, Basilan.
The said project is under the 2020 Transition Development Impact Fund of the Office MP Fhaiz S. Alauddin of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).
Also present during the ceremony were Chief of Staff Nupsin Untih, Executive Assistant Nur-in Aluddin and Project Tabang Coordinator Muais Alauddin and Councilor of Tipo-Tipo Municipality Nanak Abdurahman and other community leaders and members.
The construction of the learning center envisions to maximize learning opportunities of each youth, revitalize communities, and maximize the community’s return on their financial investment.
CLC is a school that serves as a community hub, utilizing school space during extended hours on weekends and through the summer to provide additional academic support, health resources, social services, arts programming, and civic and cultural opportunities to students, their families and the community.
