BYC attends 2nd Bangsamoro Development Plan launching

COTABATO CITY (April 12, 2023) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) attended the launching of the 2nd Bangsamoro Development Plan on Wednesday, April 12, at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Cotabato City.

The launching aims to sustain the gains and pursue the development thrust, priorities, and strategic directions of the Bangsamoro Government outlined in the first Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) for 2020-2022.

Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Office, presented the features of the 2nd BDP that include planning principles and standards, and formulation processes used in developing the document.

Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim also graced the program. He stressed the significance of the development plan in the region.

“To my fellow public servants, I would like to remind you all that Allah SWT has given us an opportunity to be of service to our fellow Bangsamoro. Which is why we should remain committed to the full realization of the development plan. Let us strive to implement this plan until all of the Bangsamoros jurisdiction feels this development plan,” Ebrahim said.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Pratima Sabal-Samsaraji represented the BYC.

Also present during the event were several BARMM ministries and offices, local government units, development partners, representatives from the national government, and stakeholders.

The program was spearheaded by the BPDA with the support of European Union and the Support to Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA). (BYC PR Unit/SAMN)
