Cotabato City (June 22, 2023) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) through the Office of the Commissioner Hamdie I. Tanjil of Basilan with Lamitan City, in collaboration with Gawad Kalinga and other partner organizations served as lead secretariat of the Bayani Challenge from June 8 to 12, 2023 in Al-Barka Municipality.
Bearing the theme “Tataya para sa Bayan”, the activity was aimed at fostering unity and cooperation among different organizations with an endeavor to bring positive change and uplift the lives of the residents through community-based initiatives.
With the youth at the forefront, it also sought to ignite the nation’s passion and compassion for the less fortunate. It calls upon everyone to join forces, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Among the activities included were Kusina ng Kalinga, House Build, Paraisong Pambata, Kalinga sa kalusugan, Kalinga sa Kalikasan, Sports Program, Disaster Preparedness, among others.
The Bayani Challenge is open to everyone who is interested to take part in the extraordinary act of solidarity and heroism for the nation. There is no age limit but for those under 18 are obliged to accomplish a waiver form. (BYC PR Unit/AAA)
