BYC finalizes its communications plan

COTABATO CITY (June 26, 2023) – Employees of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) attended the finalization workshop for the Commission’s Strategic Communication Plan to review, refine, and finalize its details on June 23, 2023, in Cotabato City.

BYC Chairperson Marjanie S. Macasalong stressed that the crafting of the plan will serve as BYC’s audience-specific communication initiatives that will help both the Commission and its employees.

“We are focusing more on institutionalizing our efforts because we believe that if we are able to institutionalize our efforts, then we can be assured that they will continue for a longer time,” Macasalong added.

BYC employees started crafting the planning process in the last three months, which involved several key activities, including focus group discussions, a Communications Strategic Planning workshop, and a refinement workshop, to bring the said initiative to life as the Commission paves its way to transparent, participatory, and inclusive governance.

BYC Public Relations Officer Rahib Musa said the plan runs in 2023 until 2026, and it aims to strenghten the Commission’s Public Engagement Programs by anchoring it on a shared vision, mission, goals, and objectives.

The formulated communication plan will employ different strategies and campaigns to raise awareness and ensure effective advocacy of BYC among its strategic audiences.

The results of the planning will be resonated with members of the Bangsamoro Youth Coordinating Council (BYCC) and select youth organizations.
