COTABATO CITY (July 14, 2023) – To promote inclusivity and address gender-related challenges, several employees of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) participated in its Gender Sensitivity Training (GST) on Thursday, July 13-14, 2023 at St. Jospeh Retreat House, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
The said training is to define the roles of women and men in society, raise awareness and appreciation of gender and development in order to promote gender equality, and resolve gender-related issues in society, particularly within the commission.
It also aimed to familiarize the employees of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission with the basic concepts of GST.
ILMO Inc. CEO Bong Lumabao served as the resource speaker where he discussed the concept of gender sensitivity, gender issues, gender-fair language, and agents of socialization of gender roles, among others. (BYC PR Unit/SAMN)
