COTABATO CITY (August 14, 2023) – In pursuit of strengthened collaboration, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education-Technical Education and Skills Development (MBHTE-TESD) today, August 14, 2023, in Cotabato City.
BYC Chairperson Marjanie S. Macasalong, MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal, and MBHTE-TESD Regional Director Ruby A. Andong signed the agreement.
The MOA stipulates the respective responsibilities of both parties to ensure the implementation of BYC’s Youth Reintegration Program (YRP)- Positive Peace Project (3Peace).
The 3Peace is a project that aims to reintegrate 200 youth combatants in the society especially those not catered in the decommissioning phase of the normalization process – bringing them viable socio – economic opportunities such as trainings on leadership, technical – vocational skills, and entrepreneurship that is according to their interests, and yield appropriate policy actions from policy research at the end of the project.
Also present during the signing were several employees of the BYC and MBHTE. (PR Unit/SAMN).
