COTABATO CITY (March 1, 2024) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) held a meeting with the Schools Division of Maguindanao and the Shariff Aguak local government unit (LGU) on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.
The meeting aims to discuss collaborative efforts for BYC’s approved project titled “Youth Empowerment in the SPMS Box,” which encompasses initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by young individuals, particularly those affected by war and displacement.
During the meeting, several employees of the Commission, led by Settie Ivy Ampatuan, BYC youth development officer, provided insights, objectives, and other important details of the project.
Present at the meeting were Kashmir Ampatuan, deputy mayor of Shariff Aguak, and Norie M. Mamalinta, Superintendent of Maguindanao-II Schools Division.
Further meetings will be held for the remaining municipalities across Maguindanao, involving 180 young individuals who are recipients of the project.
