Audhu billahi minashaytan nir rajim. Bismillahi rahmanir raheem.
Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu!
As we celebrate Eid al-Adha – a joyous occasion filled with sacrifice, sharing, and reflection – I, on behalf of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), extend our warmest greetings to all the Muslims around the world and especially to the Bangsamoro youth of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Eid al-Adha holds immense significance for Muslims worldwide as the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijjah).” It also commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) strong faith and his willingness to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismael (AS) in obedience to Allah (SWT). This story teaches us invaluable lessons about sacrifice, devotion, and trust in the divine decree.
As the future of the region, the Bangsamoro youth have gradually filled their roles in upholding these values as reflected in their achievements both personally and professionally. Truly, your dedication, resilience, and unwavering spirit mirror the commitment Prophet Ibrahim (AS) displayed. Let us, the youth, continue to embody the spirit of sacrifice by dedicating ourselves to building a peaceful and prosperous Bangsamoro.
Moreover, this Eid al-Adha, let us not only celebrate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) but also reflect on the sacrifices made for the establishment of the Bangsamoro. Let us honor those who came before us and commit ourselves to building a future worthy of their sacrifices.
May this Eid be filled with immense blessings, peace, and prosperity! May Almighty Allah accept all our ibaadah and sacrifices and grant us peace, prosperity, progress, and, above all, the tawfiq to continue to serve the Bangsamoro with all the means He has granted to us. May Allah SWT be our constant Guide and Protector at all times.
Eid Al-Adha Al-Mubaarak! Taqabalallahu Minna Wa Minkum Saalihal A’maal!
