BangsaForum Townhall Talk Series Watch Party and Media Briefing

A combination of both online and face to face discussion gathered distinguished key officials, media personalities and youth leaders from different sectors for an open discussion and enlightenment on the current situation of the Bangsamoro region.The discourse tackled primarily giving glimpse to what Bangsamoro means to be. As provided, Bangsamoro refers to identity, territory and structure of government. Further, it also made mentioned of the current achievements and challenges in pursuing peace in the region and how the government runs, as the changes considered born out of experience from unitary to parliamentary governance. As claimed by the focal speakers, BARMM as the new form of political identity bearing the Parliamentary form is way better, for it provides cooperative and consultative process between officials leading to a quick and organized action and result with the guidance of the pursued principles of moral governance. The event was primed and organized by the Asia Foundation, Bangsamoro Youth Commission, Bangsamoro Information Office , Office of Atty. Anna Tarhata Basman, Office of Cabinet Secretary Mohd Asnin Pendatun and Office of MP Marjanie Mimbantas Macasalong, Phd with support of the British Embassy Manila. The said discussion gave avenue for queries and exchange of ideas and is considered as part of the battle cry — a long negotiation between the Government and the Bangsamoro people.
