COTABATO CITY (Nov. 21, 2024) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) conducted an onsite registration for the Bangsamoro Youth Commission – Registration and Accreditation Program (BYC-ReAP) at the ground floor of Cotabato City Hall.
Held on Thursday, November 21, the initiative aims to bring the registration initiative closer to the youth organizations in order to facilitate and guide and encourage higher registration turnout.
By registering, organizations will receive recognition and can give their members the opportunities for empowerment in several ways. This recognition opens doors for collaboration and support, strengthening their role in the development of the Bangsamoro region.
Settie Ivy Ampatuan, OIC Chief of the BYC Technical Services Division (TSD), emphasized the importance of the program, describing it as a critical step for youth organizations to be recognized not only by various BARMM agencies but also as key institutions representing youth in the region.
The event also featured interactive activities, including “Kumustahan” dialogues that highlighted BYC’s mandates and services. Panel discussions with selected youth organizations fostered collaborative exchanges of ideas and best practices.
As of 3pm today, 33 youth organizations and youth-serving organizations have successfully registered under the BYC-ReAP system, with more expected to register.
Meanwhile, onsite registration for youth organizations in other BARMM provinces, including Lanao del Sur, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi, is also scheduled to take place soon.
Moreover, the BYC-ReAP online application portal is still open, allowing organizations to conveniently register at their own pace.
