COTABATO CITY (November 25, 2024) – Several employees of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), alongside various ministries, offices, agencies, and Gender and Development (GAD) focal points, participated in the kick-off ceremony for the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex in Cotabato City.

Spearheaded by the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) and carrying the theme “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras,” the campaign underscores the urgency of eliminating violence against women and promoting gender equality within society.

The highlight of the ceremony was the 6th State of the Bangsamoro Women Address (SOBWA), delivered by BWC Chairperson Bainon G. Karon.
