BYC signs MOA with Positive VIBES

The institutionalization of the collaborative effort between the Commission and the Volunteers’ Initiatives in Bridging and Empowering Society (VIBES) was ingrained through a memorandum of understanding which was signed by the BYC Chairperson MP Marjanie Macasalong, PhD and Mr. Lo Ivan Castillon, VIBES Chairperson.

Before the signing, Planning Officer I, Datu Raid Salik provided the rationale of the said agreement.

As explained, the agreement will serve as a commitment of the above-mentioned organization on the Commission’s programs, projects, activities related to capacity development and empowerment, policy development, advocacy and research across the spectrum of peace building and security, governance, education, health and active citizenship.

Further, it will serve as an avenue for enhancing decision making within the Commission. And will provide capacity building and learning opportunities to the members of VIBES as well as to provide sharing of needed information between the Parties and their respective partners and stakeholders via their respective systems in accordance to the given specific area of collaboration.

The signing of commitment and mutual support in meeting the objectives were witnessed by the Chief of Operations, Fatima L. Mandangan, JD and VIBES Member, Project Officer Alhudin P. Pango which was held at the BYC Conference Room.
