MOHAMMAD FAIZAL S. ALIH, MMath
Commissioner, Bangsamoro Youth Commission – BARMM
His Name is Mohammad Faizal S. Alih and was born in Parang in the Province of Sulu on May 25, 1983. He grew up in a less fortunate family and had witnessed the adversity of people around him that made him strive to finish his studies. He and his beloved wife Dr. Marlyn E. Hadjirul are both tausog, they blessed with two kids, a girl and boy.
He finished his elementary and secondary education in Balimbing Elementary and National High School in Tawi – Tawi. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics and earned units in Master in Public administration in Sulu State College.
He was educator for 7 years as high school and college instructor at his alma mater. Mr. Alih is also active member of various organizations such as Matawkasi Incorporated, Moro Alliance for Inclusive Development Inc. (Moro Aid), Information Communication Technology of the Bangsamoro, United Youth for Peace and Development – Sulu Chapter. Formerly, he served as secretary to the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Sulu. He actively participated on January 21, 2018 plebiscite as member monitoring team of Bangsamoro Free Elections Movement in Sulu.
Formerly, he was the Admin and Logistic Assistant and later on became the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer under Bangsamoro Development Agency on Tahderiyyah Curriculum Program – Sulu. Also, he was the focal person/Program assistant for Agrian Reform of MAFAR Sulu.
He attended various trainings/seminars and forums pursuing peace and promotes welfare of Bangsamoro people particularly the youth and fights violence against women and children. He is engaged in different advocacies for peace and welfare of the whole Bangsamoro Homeland and its people.
