BYLP LeadCom Fellows receive seed fund

COTABATO CITY—Youth fellows of the Bangsamoro Youth Leadership Program- Leadership Communities 2 (BYLP-LeadCom) received their seed fund to support their programs for their communities.

A ceremonial awarding was held during the awarding and closing ceremony of the Ideation Impact Challenge (IIC) on November 22.

The financial assistance will serve as fund in implementing their respective projects designed to provide sustainable solutions to the demands of their communities.

The BYLP-LeadCom is a youth leadership program that aims to empower youth leaders in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to ideate and implement suitable and sustainable solutions and projects to the pressing needs of their communities.

The program, which was launched in June this year, is implemented through a partnership among the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), the Ayala Foundation, The Australian Embassy, and Eisenhower Fellowship.

Fellows were also given with digital kits including laptops, bags, speakers, among others, whic are necessary to provide ease for the fellows with their online sessions and virtual activities.

BYC Chairperson Marjanie Macasalong said the BYPL-LeadCom is an avenue for continuous development and learning on leadership and project implementation for the 30 selected youth fellows across the BARMM. (BYC PR Section)
