BYC Basilan joins first Tabang Bangsamoro Convergence Program, distributes relief packs to youth

The Bangsamoro Youth Commission Basilan with Lamitan City joined the first Tabang Bangsamoro Convergence Program spearheaded by the Project Tabang under the Office of Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim on Saturday, October 1.

The said program is a convergence activity of the several BARMM ministries which aims to bring all its government services to the people.

Bearing the theme, “Bringing the Bangsamoro Government closer to the people”, various ministries, offices and lead agencies presented their programs and services to their beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, the Commission conducted its ceremonial distribution on Lingkod Kabataang Bangsamoro which was graced by MAFAR Deputy Minister Ammal D. Solaiman.

The LKB is the BYC’s relief assistance that aims to reach 2,500 vulnerable youth across the region’s five provinces and opt-in areas as part of its efforts to lessen the adverse effects of the pandemic.

The program started its first wave in 2020 since the beginning of lockdown and border limits due to the Covid-19. It already reached more than 200 youth organizations with more than 2,000 youth individuals. (BYC PR Unit/AAA)
