BYC serves panelist in youth gender justice agenda dev’t activity

COTABATO CITY (October 12, 2022)—The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), through Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding, served as a panelist in the youth agenda development activity dubbed “Y-Agenda: Youth Action Towards and Diversified Agenda on Gender Justice in BARMM” yesterday, Oct. 12, in Cotabato City.

Organized by the United Youth of the Philippines (UnYPhil)-Women in partnership with Oxfam, the three-day activity aims to provide an avenue for youth dialogue to exchange ideas, experiences, and aspirations toward developing a gender justice agenda.

Seated by various panelists from Bangsamoro Government offices and Bangsamoro Parliament Members, the activity also aims to solicit inclusion of youth gender justice agenda in regional development planning.

Commissioner Dunding stressed that BYC remains open to youth agenda recommendations coming from youth institutions on the ground.

“The Government of the Day is very open for you to speak, and that is a chance sa para sa inyo na magsalita kung ano ang gusto ninyo,” Dunding said.

The activity was also conducted as part of the celebration of the International Day of the Girl every October 11 of the year.

BYC is the primary policy-making and coordinating body of the Bangsamoro Government in all youth-related programs, activities, and projects. (BYC PR Unit/KAA)
