COTABATO CITY (November 26, 2022) — Employees of the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) participated in the training-workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation led by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on November 23-25, 2022 at the Pagana Kutawato, Cotabato City.
Other participants were from the Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC), and Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC).
The said workshop was designed to assist agencies in developing their own draft theory of change and M&E framework to measure their current workplan or any existing strategic plan.
UNICEF M&E Officer Giovanni Villafuerte, provided the overview of the 3-day course highlighting the objectives, methodologies, and activities.
Rasul Abdullah, WASH Officer, elaborated on the significance of utilizing the Program Development Cycle.
It started off with the program’s expected output which is to give priority to issues and concerns of the youth as raised by the attending participants.
In the discussion, Problem Tree Analysis was introduced to the participants, which aims the program’s desired output of detecting and analyzing the causes of selected issues and concerns is achieved.
Meanwhile, UNICEF M&E Officer Farouk Lim discussed Theory of Change where participants tasked to provide output on the theory.
Following the activity, participants continued drafting the Results Matrix and Data Collection Plan of their respective agencies.
Ms. Amina Lim provided her extensive presentation on Social Behavioral Change on the final day of the program.
