COTABATO CITY (October 24, 2023) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) – Lanao del Sur with Marawi City conducted a two-day Youth Formation Summit with the MSU-External Units, on October 19-20, 2023, held at MSU-Main Campus, Marawi City.
With the theme “Ignite, Inspire, Lead: Empowering Student Leaders,” the program was specifically designed to equip student leaders from the 13 Mindanao State University – External Units with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for both academic and personal success.
Furthermore, the summit provided a platform for young leaders to unleash their potential, learn from accomplished experts and peers, and gain the skills necessary for making meaningful contributions to society.
Youth Development Officer Namira Ambor underscored the importance of this youth formation initiative.
“The Youth Formation Summit is intended to empower, unite, and share opportunities among the diverse Bangsamoro youth leaders in our communities and schools. Education serves as the catalyst for change and plays a vital role in our nation-building efforts,” Ambor stated.
Also present during the summit were MSU System President Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, Office of the Assistance Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Samsia Paitao-Dumrang, the 13th school principals of MSU Community High School, PMS- Director MSU- Main Campus, Prime Minister of MSU Supreme Student Government, and academic consultants and other stakeholders.
