BYC holds workshop on branding, content dev’t, style guide

COTABATO CITY (Feb. 1, 2023) — In a bid to continually enhance and improve Bangsamoro Youth Commission’s (BYC) communication efforts and branding, employees developed a comprehensive set of guidelines at a two-day workshop on Jan. 30-31 in Cotabato City.

The workshop was aimed at developing guidelines on branding, content development, and writing style—an addition to the BYC Strategic Communication Plan that was developed in 2023.

Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding said these guidelines will help build BYC into a stronger agency, as these documents will serve as resources that will be used by its employees in all communication materials, be they formal and official documents or branding and marketing materials.

Rahib Musa, BYC’s public relations officer, said these guidelines will complement the communication plan developed in mid-2023 to set standards and guide the operation of the Public Relations Unit and BYC as an institution.

The branding guidelines ensure consistent use of BYC seal, colors, fonts, and visual elements across all communication channels.

While the content development guidelines provide a framework for creating content that aligns with BYC’s brand and messaging, our style guide will help us standardize writing conventions, including grammar, punctuation, and formatting,” Musa said.

BYC is the youth policy-making, coordinating, and monitoring and evaluation agency of the Bangsamoro Government. (BYC PR Unit/RMM)
