BYC, youth orgs participate in ‘U-Report Now: Youth Pulse’ summit

COTABATO CITY (Feb. 16, 2024) – The Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) – Lanao del Sur, alongside several youth organizations from Marawi City and other municipalities of Lanao del Sur, participated in the “U-Report Now: Youth Pulse” summit, aimed at enhancing opportunities for the youth.

Held on February 12, 2024, in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, the summit brought together U-Reporters from various communities to engage in activities focused on organizing, mobilizing, and strengthening youth networks in Lanao del Sur.

The summit also aimed to foster positive social change in peace-building and address gender-based violence, as well as to assist children and youth in engaging and speaking out about their welfare and interests.

Namera C. Ambor, BYC youth development officer, emphasized the importance of this initiative in providing opportunities for youth to become voices and leaders in their communities.

“As youth, we need to support our local U-Report Youth community to improve and empower the voices of youth at the grassroots level,” Ambor said.

The activity was led by MARADECA Inc., in collaboration with UNICEF Philippines, advocating for initiatives aimed at enhancing youth welfare. (BYC PR Unit/SAMN)
