BYC Lanao participates in Aftercare Peace Track Training Program

Representatives from the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) Lanao del Sur with Marawi City participated in the Aftercare Peace Track Training Program on November 28 to December 3, at Go Hotels, Iligan City.

The Teach Peace Build Peace Movement (TPBPM), Inc. conducted the program in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), and Provincial Peace and Development Office.

The program was intended to equip the participants with strategies and approaches for dealing with children and youth returnees from an armed group, including an aftercare track to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of the affected individuals.

As part of the initiatives of the TPBPM for sustainable peace and raising consciousness for a culture of peace in the Bangsamoro region, the program was conducted as part of the Mindanao Week of Peace celebration.

Provincial Project Development Officer Monifah Salic and Field Officer Saidalie Marohombasar represented the BYC. (BYC PR Unit/SAMN)
