COTABATO CITY — Following a destructive fire that swept through Brgy. Poblacion, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on September 7, 2023, the Bangsamoro Youth Commission, in collaboration with Tawi Tawi Sanib Pwersa Kabataan Inc., has taken swift action to assist the affected residents, a significant number of whom were youth.
Commissioner Pratima Sabal Samsaraji led the joint effort, to provide immediate relief to those affected by the fire, ensuring that the assistance is well-informed and tailored to address the specific needs of the victims, including the youth.
Prior to launching their relief efforts, the Commission and Tawi Tawi Sanib Pwersa Kabataan Inc. initiated a courtesy visit to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Brgy. Poblacion. During this visit, they had the privilege of meeting with the Barangay Chairman and engaged in meaningful discussions about the statistical data of the fire victims and the households affected.
In addition to the Commission and its partner organization, several other institutions and organizations have also stepped forward to support the victims, providing the necessary assistance to rebuild the affected community. (BYC PR Unit/AAA)
